YEAH!! Got me a Tilt!
I finally gave up on my Samsung Blackjack after getting two phone replacements with warranty service. Now that my warranty was expired and since I was still having problems with my Blackjack, I bit the bullet and layed out the cash for a new phone. Yes, it was an outright purchase with no new contract. OUCH!
After looking at the selection of at&t phones for the past several months, the Tilt kept calling to me. The phone has gotten really good reviews and it is an enhanced version of previous phone carried by at&t.
The phone carries the at&t brand but is really made by htc. htc is a Taiwan company that makes all those really cool phones that have been distributed in Europe and Asia. Now, finally U.S. carriers are joining the party.
at&t BlackJack to get Free Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade
Recently at Microsoft TechEd 2007 in Orlando, FL (early June) I had a chance to see a new version of the at&t Blackjack running Windows Mobile 6. I asked whether or not the older Blackjacks would be getting an update and the answer was “Yes, later this summer and to keep an eye on at&t and Samsung’s website.” I thought, GREAT!!! Finally a phone company doing the right thing by the customer.
