Samsung Blackjack Hard Reset

with 4 comments

I’ve been having a problem with my Samsung Blackjack for the last couple of days.  The phone will only work for a little while after it was rebooted, then it won’t make or receive any calls or text messages.   I decided to try a hard reset to see it would help; so far so good.

There are two ways to perform a hard reset.

1) The phone should be powered off first. With the phone off; press the Up Navigation button and the Power button at the same time. You will then be asked to format the Phone.  Press 1 for YES!

2) You can also go to the Start menu and navigate to Settings/Security/Reset. Then, enter “0000″ for the password.   The phone will format and reload the OS.

Be careful if you perform a hard reset, the storage and settings are wiped clean.  It’s probably a good idea to remove the Micro SD card before performing the reset just to be safe.
